The ASCENT Call for Proposals uses the ASCENT Platform powered by Odyssey exclusively for all tender-related activities. Submissions outside of the platform will not be accepted.

Select the documents or folders you would like to download
Click the Download button
Read all program documents thoroughly before submitting your program application to ensure that you understand all the requirements of the program.
Select the Updated EOI tab below Application
Make the following updates to the content from your previously submitted EOI application in the Form section:
Company Profile: Please make sure that all information in this section is related to the parent company or a single corporate entity, since only one application per group of companies will be accepted for this first call for proposals.
Management Team: Please make sure that the information in this section aggregates across all subsidiaries operating in countries where you intend to serve customers using ASCENT REAF RBF funding.
Financial Information: Please ensure that the financial information submitted in sections 5.1 and 5.2 is aligned with what is in the audited financial statements. Please also ensure that 5.1 and 5.2 include 2024 results and please upload your 2024 audited financial statements (or unaudited if audited is not yet available) for 5.6.
Click the Save button periodically to ensure your work is not lost

Submit your updated expression of interest
Ensure all required fields are completed and all required documents have been uploaded
Click the Submit button
Select the Call for Proposals tab below Application
Complete the call for proposal applicaiton in the Form section
Click the Save button periodically to ensure your work is not lost

Click Attachments at the top of the tab
Click Upload Files and select any additional files you would like to upload
Select the destination for your files and add tags if you wish
Submit your proposal
Ensure all required fields are completed and all required documents have been uploaded
If you are applying for mini-grids, you must follow the Step 3. Create a Mini-grid Application before submitting
Click the Submit button
You will not see the Submit button until you have completed all the required questions. Once submitted you may no longer make edits to your application.
Check your Submission Status
Navigate to the list in the Programs section; your submission status is listed in the Status column.
If your application has been successfully submitted, the status will say "Submitted"
If your application is successful, the status of the application will change from “In Review” to “Selected” in your Programs list.
Select the ASCENT RESULTS BASED FINANCING (RBF) program
Navigate to the Assets tab
Select the Add Project button and Create a Mini-Grid Project
You will need to complete a full mini-grid project for each mini-grid program you are submitting for ASCENT funding
Complete the site location information
Detailed instructions for how to use each module can be followed in the pre-development user guides.
In the load module, you will provide information on the number and type of customers as well as the projected load profile. Learn more about creating a load assessment.
The distribution system costs will be pulled into the Financials section and used to calculate project financial performance metrics. Learn more about tracking distribution design costs.
The Costs module is a place to track and categorize project capital and operating expenditures.
These will be pulled into the Financials module and used to calculate project financial performance metrics. Learn more about tracking costs.
The Revenues module calculates your revenues based on your defined tariff structure and forecasted load profile. Learn more entering your tariff structure.
Once you have completed the required data modules in the mini-grid application, you can submit your application through the Project Submission module.
Ensure all project data modules and required document uploads in the are completed before submission.
To submit your project:
Navigate to the Project Submission module.
Click the Submit Project to Program button.
Check Your Application Status
Below is a description of the project application statuses set by the program managers. You can use this information to track the status of your application:
Under Review
Your application is currently being reviewed by the program managers.
Incomplete
Your site-specific application is incomplete and requires additional information. Your project has been reopened for editing.
Selected
Your application has been reviewed and accepted. The grant agreement is currently under review.
Grant Agreement Signature
The grant agreement for your project has been signed.
Declined
Your application has not been approved for the program.
