In the Financial module of a project, you will specify project-level sensitivities and account for load demand ramping and growth rates. The Financial module compiles all the information you have entered into a project to calculate key financial metrics.
1. Specify the project life span
Enter the expected life span of your project. Your Generation Design HOMER optimizations will factor in the project life span entered here.
2. Specify the baseline year
The baseline load year you enter will customize the Uptake and Growth chart.
3. Set Uptake and Growth Assumptions
Set the expected ramp and growth rates for your project's load demand.
4. Enter Additional Revenues and Costs
- View the Replacement costs calculated from the Generation Design module
- Enter any additional replacement or system expansion costs
5. Enter Sensitivities
Add in project-level sensitivities and the expected grant for the project in the Sensitivities section.
6. View Results & the Excel project financial model
- Select Update Your Financial Model to calculate Financial results.
- Select Download Project Financial Model to view your project Excel financial model
- Follow the Excel project financial model instructions
- Select Upload Project Financial Model if you entered any inputs in the Excel model that you would like to include in your project financials.
- You can adjust tariffs, CAPEX, load, or other project parameters to assess the impact on project financials.
