Claim Submission Guides
The +ENERGIA Facility Results-Based Financing (RBF) grant program under the Funding Window PAYGO Solar Home Systems operates exclusively through the Odyssey platform with eligible companies using the software for claim submissions.
Integrate CRM Payment Data (one time set-up)
Once your pre-qualification application has been selected, you may submit claims quarterly within the month following the end of the calendar quarter.
You will upload claims in the Odyssey platform for the +Energia program administrators’ review and financial disbursement.
Select the Finance > Programs tab from the left navigation bar
Navigate into the Mais Energia-SHS from the programs list
Navigate to Claims
In the Claims section, you can view and manage existing or past claims at the bottom of the page or select Solar Home System create a new claim
Complete the claim information
Click each field to fill out the required information
Asset Name: Enter the Quarter that your claim will be submitted using the Quarter No_Year format
Notes: Not required, but you may enter claim information here
Country: Select "Mozambique" from the dropdown menu
State: Select the city of your headquarters or distribution center (this field is not essential but must be filled out to proceed).
Program: the program is auto-selected in the Programs field. You will not be able to complete your proposal if the project is not registered with the program.
Save your claim
You will need to submit proof of customer connections for each solar home system installed in order to receive the grant disbursement.
Download Connections Template
Navigate to the Connections module of your claim
Click Download Template to download the Excel template, fill out the required fields, and save your file
Please see a list of the data requested below:
When you have completed your Excel template, follow the instructions below to import the connections into Odyssey
Select the Import/Update Connections button.
Upload the completed Excel template.
Make any necessary edits directly in the software by clicking on a connection, or download the connections, make changes, and re-upload.
Check the Submittable column to ensure that the required information has been provided and there are no duplicate connections:
If the Submittable column says "Yes," you have provided the required information and can submit your connections.
If the Submittable column is red and says "No," either data is missing or the connection has already been submitted.
Filter by "No" to see which connections need additional information. Missing rows will be highlighted in pink.
Base Grant and geographic incentive claims will be submitted quarterly within the month following the end of the calendar. However, Collection incentive claims will be submitted after 6 months.
To verify the connections in your claim for the base grant, the following criteria must be met:
Base grant: paid out upon sale and installation at customer’s location.
Geographic incentive: paid out for sales to customers in specific districts according to the level grade of the district (see Annex E in the Call for proposal document).
Collection incentive: paid out after 6 months if Beneficiary collects at least 70% of the contract amount from the customer (active customers). The Facility reserves the right to increase the collection rate in the future to improve sustainability and long-term energy access.
To verify the connections in your claim:
Navigate to the Connections section of the Approved project
Select the Verify button
Select Verify All (Filtered) Connections to verify all connections
Note: You can also verify individual connections by selecting the checkboxes next to the connections you would like to verify.
View the verification status of each connection in the Verify column.
Once you select 'Verify', the verification process will be Initiated and the status of each of them will be displayed. Review the meaning of each status below:
Verification in progress: The request to verify the connection has been sent.
Payment not found: A payment document could not be found for the external ID of the connection.
Data out of date range: At least one document was found, but not within the date range of the rule.
Didn’t meet requirements: At least one document was found in the date range, but it doesn’t meet the requirements.
Error during verification: An unexpected error occurred.
Verified: Verification was successful
Once you have completed the remote verification process, follow the steps below to submit your connections to the Program Administrator.
Select the Check for Duplicates button.
This ensures you’re not submitting a connection that has already been submitted in a previous quarter. If you don’t check for duplicates, the Submit button will be greyed out and unclickable.
The platform will run a duplicate check — this may take up to 15 minutes, depending on the volume of data.
Once completed, a pop-up will appear showing the upload results, including the number of External IDs identified as potential duplicates.
After duplicate check, Select the Submit button
Choose Submit Selected Connections or Submit All (Filtered) Connections from the dropdown menu
Verify that all connections were submitted in the summary panel at the top of the page
Filter the Submission Status to "Not Submitted" to see connections that were not submitted
If you have connections that were not submitted, verify that your connections are “Submittable” (see above), make any necessary updates, and then resubmit if needed
Once you have submitted connections, the +Energia administrators will review your connections and either mark the connections as Approved, Paid, or Rejected.
You can view a summary of the status of all connections in the summary at the top of the Connections module and will be notified by email of any connection status updates.
You can communicate with the Program administrators
