UEF Stand-Alone Solar Programme

The Universal Energy Facility (UEF) uses the UEF Platform powered by Odyssey exclusively. Submissions outside of the platform will not be accepted. Please read the guide thoroughly for instructions on how to submit an application to the UEF.

Project Deployment Phase

  • You will upload Claims in Odyssey for the UEF program administrators’ review and financial disbursement.
  • Select the Finance > Programs tab from the left navigation bar
  • Navigate into the UEF SSPU Deployment Phase from the programs list 
  • Within the UEF SSPU Deployment Phase program, navigate to Claims
  • In the Claims section, you can view and manage existing or past claims at the bottom of the page or select Productive Use to create a new claim



Milestone: Proof of complete installation of SSPU system at Customer Location and system integration on Odyssey (including remote monitoring system). 


  • Complete your milestone claim:

    • Select Connections from the top panel 

    • Click Download Template to download the Excel template, fill out the required fields, and upload the completed version

    • Complete the following fields in the Excel connections template below

Inverter Serial Number

Provide the inverter serial number. Each individual inverter has a unique serial number which is often found on the back or bottom of the inverter product. In some cases, the inverter serial number may also be located close to the product’s barcode.

Inverter capacity (kVA)

Provide the inverter capacity or inverter rating (in kVA) which signifies the amount of power that can be supplied continuously by the inverter product.

Cost of solar PV ($)

Provide the actual cost of the installed solar PV system (in USD). Attach proof of procurement by uploading the ‘Equipment Invoice’.

Cost of Batteries ($)

Provide the actual cost of the installed lithium-ion battery system (in USD). Attach proof of procurement by uploading the ‘Equipment Invoice’. 

Cost of Inverter ($)

Provide the actual cost of the installed solar PV system (in USD). Attach proof of procurement by uploading the ‘Equipment Invoice’. 

Cost of Charge Controllers ($)

Provide the actual cost of the installed charge controllers (in USD). Attach proof of procurement by uploading the ‘Equipment Invoice’. 

Cost of Mounting Structures, Wiring and Circuit Breakers ($)

Provide the actual cost of the mounting structures, and wires (in USD). Attach proof of procurement by uploading the ‘Equipment Invoice’. 

Total CAPEX Cost of System ($)

Provide information on the total actual cost of the SSPU system installed (in USD).

Inverter Model

Provide the name and specific model of the inverter product.

Customer ID

Provide the Customer’s unique ID which must be linked to the Grantees’ Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Customer Name

Provide the full name of the end-user. This should be the customer’s name on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’.

Customer Gender

Provide the gender information of the end-user. This should be the customer’s name on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’. 

Deployment Address (street/city)

Provide the full address where the SSPU system was installed. This should be the same address on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’. 

Deployment Latitude

Provide the geographic (GPS) coordinate of the exact position or location where the SSPU system was installed.This should be the same GPS coordinate on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’. 


Deployment Longitude

Provide the geographic (GPS) coordinate of the exact position or location where the SSPU system was installed.This should be the same GPS coordinate on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’. 

Type of End-User

Select the type of end-user from the dropdown menu. E.g., Agriculture, commercial, residential, public institution, industrial 

Date of Deployment

Provide the exact date the SSPU system was installed and started generating power. This should be the same date on the ‘Customer Sales Agreement’. 


Previous Energy Source

Provide information on the end-users’ sources of electricity before the SSPU system was installed.

Installed Solar PV capacity (kW)

Provide the total capacity of the solar photovoltaic (PV) system (in kW). This is the maximum electricity output the installed solar PV system can deliver.

Battery capacity (kWh)

Provide the installed capacity of the lithium-ion battery system (in kWh). This is the total amount of electricity generated by the battery system per day

Daily Energy (in kWh) delivered by system per/day

Provide information on the maximum daily energy generated by the SSPU system per day (in kWh).


Total hours of system power supply (in hours per/day)

Provide information on the total number of hours the SSPU system can power the customers’ load and appliances.

Final Sale Price to Customer (Naira)

If applicable, provide information on the final sale price of the installed SSPU system installed to the end-user (in Naira) 

Down Payment or Connection Fee Amount (Naira)

If applicable, provide information on the initial down payment or connection fee being paid by the end-user (in Naira)

Installment Payment Amount (Naira)

Provide information on the recurrent installmental payment or service fee amount (in Naira)

Collection Frequency

Provide information on the frequency of payments i.e., weekly, monthly or quarterly

Duration of Pre-payment (months)

If applicable, provide information on the total duration of pre-payment (in months)

Equipment Invoice ID

Provide the ‘Equipment Invoice ID’. This is the procurement document/invoice obtained from the equipment suppliers that contains the description of the solar components and the actual prices.

Select from the dropdown menu the type of appliances being powered by the SSPU system installed 

Wattage

Provide the electrical demand/consumption of the given appliance (in Watt). This is often found on the back or bottom of the  appliance.

Quantity

Provide the quantity of that appliance to be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Hours of Usage per Day

Provide information on the actual number of hours per day each appliance will be powered by the SSPU system installed.

List of all PUE appliances powered by system (select second appliance)

Select from the dropdown menu the type of appliances being powered by the SSPU system installed 

Wattage

Provide the electrical demand/consumption of the given appliance (in Watt). This is often found on the back or bottom of the  appliance.

Quantity

Provide the quantity of that appliance to be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Hours of Usage per Day

Select from the dropdown menu the type of appliances being powered by the SSPU system installed 

Wattage

Provide the quantity of that appliance to be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Hours of Usage per Day

List of all PUE appliances powered by system (select fourth appliance)

Select from the dropdown menu the type of appliances being powered by the SSPU system installed 

Wattage

Provide the electrical demand/consumption of the given appliance (in Watt). This is often found on the back or bottom of the  appliance.

Quantity

Provide the quantity of that appliance to be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Hours of Usage per Day

Provide information on the actual number of hours per day each appliance will be powered by the SSPU system installed.

List of all PUE appliances powered by system (select fifth appliance)

Select from the dropdown menu the type of appliances being powered by the SSPU system installed 

Wattage

Provide the electrical demand/consumption of the given appliance (in Watt). This is often found on the back or bottom of the  appliance.

Quantity

Provide the quantity of that appliance to be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Hours of Usage per Day

Provide information on the actual number of hours per day each appliance will be powered by the SSPU system installed.

Total Load to be Powered by SSPU System (in Watts)

Provide information on the customer’s total load/electricity demand (in Watt). 

  1. Integrate CRM Data

  1. Odyssey enables you to integrate operating data in the data integrations section of Odyssey. For connection remote verification, Odyssey automatically checks your payment data to verify that your connections have been supplied electricity and meet program requirements. Learn more about setting up a data integration.
  2. Once your site has been commissioned, please complete your meter integration as soon as possible so your data will be available when you are ready to complete remote verification.
  3. If you have any questions on integrating your CRM, please reach out to our support team who can assist with each step in the process.
  • Complete remote verification and submit 

  • Verify your connections

    • Select the checkbox next to each connection you would like to submit

    • Select Verify

    • Once you select 'Verify', the verification process will be Initiated and the status of each of them will be displayed. Review the meaning of each status below:

  • Verification in progress: The request to verify the connection has been sent.

  • Payment not found: A payment document could not be found for the external ID of the connection.

  • Data out of date range: At least one document was found, but not within the date range of the rule.

  • Didn’t meet requirements: At least one document was found in the date range, but it doesn’t meet the requirements.

  • Error during verification: An unexpected error occurred.

  • Verified: Verification was successful

  • Once your connections are ready to submit, you can select them and choose "Submit."

    • Choose Submit All (Filtered) Connections from the dropdown menu to submit all connections. 

    • To submit individual connections, select the checkbox next to the connections and then select Submit > Selected Connections.

    • View your connections status

      • Once you have submitted connections, the UEF administrators will review your connections and either mark the connections as Approved, Paid, or Rejected. You can view a summary of the status of all connections in the summary at the top of the Connections module and will be notified by email of any connection status updates.
