DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grids

The DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grid program uses the DARES Platform powered by Odyssey exclusively for all tender-related activities. Submissions outside of the platform will not be accepted. Please read this guide thoroughly for instructions on how to submit an application to the DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grid program.

    Qualification Phase

1. Review program information

If you have registered to participate in the program, you will be able to access all PBG information within Odyssey. You can see all program information by:
  1. Select Finance > Programs
  2. Selecting DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grid from the Programs list
  3. Select the program from the list
  4. Select the Application tab
  5. Complete the DARES application form
  6. Click the Save button periodically to ensure your work is not lost

Required questions have red asterisks (*). You will not be able to submit your application until all required fields have been completed.

2. View program documents

  1. Click the Resources tab
  2. View and download the program documents
  3. Select the documents or folders you would like to download
  4. Click the Download button

You must read all program documents thoroughly before submitting your program application to ensure that you understand all the requirements of the program

3. Complete the qualification application

Applicants must submit an application for the qualification stage of the DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grid program. Applicants must demonstrate that they are eligible and qualified to enter the site-specific technical application phase.
  1. Select the Application tab
  2. Complete the PBG application form
  3. Click on the tabs to navigate between application sections (i.e. Executive Summary, Mission & Vision, etc.)
  4. Click the Save button periodically to ensure your work is not lost

4. Upload application documents

To upload your files:
  1. Go to the Documents Upload section in the application form.
  2. Drag and drop your files into the upload area, or click Browse to select files from your device.
  3. Ensure you upload all required supporting documents in this section to successfully submit your application.
To upload additional files not listed in the Documents Upload section:
  1. Click Application > Attachments at the top of the Application tab.
  2. Upload your additional documents by clicking Upload Files and selecting the files you wish to add.

5. Submit your program application

  1. Ensure all required fields are completed and all required documents have been uploaded
  2. Click the Submit button
  3. Once submitted you may no longer make edits to your application.
Alert
The application will save automatically every 30 seconds while connected to internet. If your internet connection is unstable, you can work on your responses offline. Once complete, you can copy and paste your responses into Odyssey so no information is lost due to unstable internet.

6.  Communicate with REA

You can communicate with the Program administrators via the Messages section provided under the program. To do this,
  1. Select Finance > Programs
  2. Select DARES PBG for Isolated Mini-Grid
  3. Select Messages

7.  Check your Submission Status

If your application has been accepted, the status of the application will change from “In Review” to “Selected” in your Programs list. You will also receive an email notification of any changes to your application status. See a description of each status below

  1. Submitted

      Your Qualification application has been received.
  1. In Review

      Your application is being reviewed.
  1. Incomplete

  Your application is incomplete and requires additional information. Your application has been re-opened to allow editing. Once you add the required information, you can re-submit your application for review. 
  1. Selected

   Your application has been reviewed and accepted. You may begin a site-specific technical application for the program.
