DARES - NEP Legacy Projects

The REA Nigeria Electrification Project - DARES - NEP Legacy Projects uses the Odyssey platform exclusively for all tender-related activities. Submissions outside of the platform will not be accepted. In addition to this participation guide, please review the complete Odyssey user guides for software help and FAQs to troubleshoot any issues, or reach out to the Odyssey support team via the support chat box in the bottom right corner of the application.

Submission of DARES Environmental and Social Framework (ESF)

1. Review program information

You will be able to access all program information within Odyssey. You can see all program information by:
  1. Select Finance > Programs
  2. Select DARES - NEP Legacy Projects from the Programs list
  3. Click the Resources section
  4. View and download the program documents
    1. Select the documents or folders you would like to download 
    2. Click the Download button
    3. Read all program documents thoroughly before submitting your program application to ensure that you understand all the requirements of the program.

2. Complete the DARES-NEP Legacy Projects Form

  1. Select the Application tab
  2. Complete the DARES-NEP Legacy Projects Form in the Form section

Required questions have red asterisks (*). You will not be able to submit your application until all required fields have been completed.

    3. Submit your program application

    1. Ensure all required fields are completed and all required documents have been uploaded
    2. Click the Submit button
      1. You will not see the Submit button until you have completed all the required questions. Once submitted you may no longer make edits to your application.
      2. Once submitted you may no longer make edits to your application.
    Alert
    The application will save automatically every 30 seconds while connected to internet. If your internet connection is unstable, you can work on your responses offline. Once complete, you can copy and paste your responses into Odyssey so no information is lost due to unstable internet.

    6.  Communicate with REA

    You can communicate with the Program administrators via the Messages section provided under the program. To do this,
    1. Select Finance > Programs
    2. Select DARES - NEP Legacy Projects
    3. Select Messages 
    4. Type and send out your message.

    7.  Check your Submission Status

     If your application has been accepted, the status of the application will change from “In Review” to “Selected” in your Programs list. You will also receive an email notification of any changes to your application status. See a description of each status below
    1. Submitted

          Your DARES NEP Legacy Projects Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) has been received.
    1. In Review

          Your application is being reviewed.
    1. Incomplete

    Your Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) is incomplete and requires additional information. Your application has been re-opened to allow editing. Once you add the required information, you can re-submit your application for review. 
    1. Selected

    Your Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) application has been reviewed and approved. You may begin submitting your DARES NEP legacy projects for the program using the steps below.

    Once your DARES - NEP Legacy Project application has been Selected, you may proceed with the following step of submitting your legacy sites under DARES and submit claims.

    Navigate to the approved NEP legacy project to submit your legacy sites for DARES NEP coverage.

    Note: Only projects on the legacy list will be allowed under the DARES NEP Legacy Projects program.
    1. Navigate to the approved NEP legacy project to submit your legacy sites for DARES NEP coverage.
    2. From your My projects page, select a NEP legacy project 
    3. Select the Copy icon button from the menu bar 

    Review the copied project

    1. Review the copied projects to ensure all the the Project Design is still up-to-date. 

    Rename the copied project,

    1. Rename the copied project appending “DARES -NEP Legacy” to the name. E.g. Site Name (DARES -NEP Legacy)

    Change the program

    1. Change the program the project is tagged to under the Information section from NEP PBG to the DARES - NEP Legacy Projects.

    Upload Connections

    1. Add new unpaid connections only
    2. Attaching any additional files if needed
    3. Verify connections
    4. Submit the project
